I’m a web designer, front end developer from Livorno, Italy.
Currently based in Rosignano Solvay, a small town located about 25 km from Livorno.
I started designing web sites in the free time more than ten years ago, in 2000.
It was only for a hobby at first instance, and remained that for some years.
In 2011 I enrolled to a web design course at IBAT College in Dublin, Ireland where I pursued the FETAC (Further Education and Training Awards Council) Diploma in Web Authoring.
After completing that Awards, I decided to continue specializing in professional Web Design. I enrolled to another class at the same College, the advanced one, where I got the Advanced Diploma in Web Design.
This course has enhanced my capabilities and skills to create modern web pages using the latest technologies available.
The journey into specialization in Web Design has carried on outside the Evening classes and still continue, studying on my own.
I’m really motivated to do better and improve my knowledge of this industry. I’m trying to be kept constantly updated, reading specialized technical magazines, websites, following influential persons and groups on social networks on a day to day basis.
Moreover, I’m building competencies in SEO (Search Engine Optimization), SEM (Search Engine Marketing), SMM (Social Media Marketing). I believe a good web designer needs also some knowledge of these related subjects to be fully capable nowadays.
Tourism Web Marketing is another area where I’m focusing on, also due to my past experience in the industry as I mention hereafter.
Before putting my feet in web design full time, I worked in two different industries for many years. Travel and credit cards. In the tourism area I gained an experience of 4 years, whereas in the second one, 5 and a half. Due to these experiences I got different and valuable skills that they are still precious for my development in the current role.
I’m currently on the lookout for a new interesting position that might arise, which matches my skills.
